out past dark & a good friend

i love the comfort and stillness of my home after the tornado of chasing a busy toddler all day and putting her to bed. i love taking a relaxing shower, getting dinner ready and vegging on the couch! this has become my routine and quite honestly a treat for the end of the day. i love going to bed early! well last night i ventured out of the house after dark! i got all dolled up and met my sister and her friends for a drink at the W. we sat on the outdoor patio and had a great time. awesome people watching and a fun time blending into a hip city for a moment!

today, a dear friend and her daughter came over to play. we used to work together so she is able to just look in my eyes and know the stories i keep inside about the hospital. she’s a survivor herself and miraculously a mom. we dreamed about starting families around the same time and prayed for each other. i love her so much and i love watching our girls play. they were so much fun to watch today because they interacted as if they were best friends, they shared, they giggled, hugged, chased, and completely connected. i’m thankful for sweet moments such as these.
