my first red carpet event

my uber talented sister, meredith, is a participant and in the running for an award (might i add) in this year’s Austin Fashion Week. i was able to get out for her showcase event and it was a-m-a-z-i-n-g. she partnered with urban betty salon and hosted a fabulous runway show where beautiful dolled up models strutted their stuff in lizabeth & leann creations. the night was so much fun, lots of people came out to support her and i was beaming with pride for my sister. the thing i love the most about her talent is that she is completely self taught. she didn’t go to school for fashion design or take any sewing classes, in fact, she has a full time job as a science professor. she had a dream and ran with it. way to go, mer!
